Hello, I'm Amalie
My name is Amalie, and I am the proud owner of Eli&Eli - a mama‑run small shop born from a very personal chapter of my life. Before becoming a mother, I worked as a world‑traveling business consultant, always carrying a quiet dream of doing something creative, something connected to fashion and children. When my twins, Elias and Elissa, arrived, that dream found its moment.
During COVID, while raising two newborns, I received a simple sewing machine as a gift. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. I taught myself to sew during nap times and late evenings, creating the very first outfits for my babies. Those tiny pieces, stitched with love and a lot of learning, felt like the beginning of something meaningful. Elias and Elissa became my inspiration in every way - even the name Eli&Eli carries their initials and the joy they brought into my life.
I shared my early creations in WhatsApp mum groups within the German community, never expecting much. But the response grew, slowly and beautifully. More requests came in, more encouragement, and with each order I felt a deeper connection to what I was creating. That small spark led to an Instagram page, and about a year and a half later, I built my own website from scratch - every product, every photo, every detail shaped by my hands and my heart.
Eli&Eli is not just a shop; it is the story of how motherhood, creativity, and resilience came together. It is a space where I pour my love for children, my fascination for fabrics, and my belief in thoughtful, personalized pieces that carry meaning. What I do today is rooted in those early moments with my twins - the desire to create something beautiful, comfortable, and heartfelt for little ones everywhere.
